There is something a book can do that very few other things can match. And there is something a moving image can do that even the best book cannot. Stories in Motion was built at the intersection of those two truths — a cinematic experience designed for children and families that brings the Seeds of Greatness world to life in a new dimension.
What It Is
Stories in Motion is the television and cinematic extension of the Seeds of Greatness book series from MustardSeed Productions. It takes the four core characters — Yeshua, Messiah, Levi, and Jadery — and brings them into motion: with voice, movement, music, and visual storytelling that reaches children at the emotional level where the most lasting development happens.
It is not simply an animated show. It is a purposeful creative experience built around the same principles that drive every Seeds of Greatness book: that children deserve stories that take their inner lives seriously, that the most powerful children's content is the kind that resonates equally with the child watching and the parent watching beside them, and that great storytelling for young audiences is never talking down — it is talking to.
"Stories in Motion is for families who believe the screen time their children are consuming should be planting something, not just filling time."
Why Motion — Why Now
Children today encounter media earlier, more frequently, and in more immersive formats than any previous generation. This is neither inherently good nor bad. It is the landscape. The question is not whether children will engage with moving images — they will — but what those images will say to them about who they are and who they can become.
Most children's content addresses the surface. It entertains — and entertainment is valuable. But Stories in Motion was designed to go a layer deeper: into the emotional experiences that children are already navigating but rarely see reflected back to them with the kind of care and craft that says, this matters, and so do you.
The cinematic format matters because children absorb emotion through movement, music, and visual language in ways that are different from — and complementary to — what they absorb through the page. A character's hesitation before making a hard choice. The way light changes in a room when something shifts emotionally. The way a piece of music mirrors what a child is feeling inside. These are not decorative choices. They are emotional communication.
What Families Can Expect
Stories in Motion is designed for families to experience together. Not children alone with a screen, but parents and children sharing the same emotional journey — which creates the conditions for the most valuable thing stories can produce: conversation.
Each character's Stories in Motion experience is built to:
- Reflect the emotional world of children ages 3–8 with honesty and warmth
- Give children language for what they feel through character experience
- Create moments that naturally open conversation between parent and child
- Present courage, empathy, resilience, and identity not as lessons to be taught but as experiences to be felt
- Match the premium cinematic quality of the broader MustardSeed Productions brand
Currently Coming to Life
The Stories in Motion experience is being developed with the same deliberate care that has defined every element of Seeds of Greatness since the beginning. Some character experiences are currently in their holding season — crafted with intention, being prepared for release at the right time.
You can explore what's currently available — and be among the first to know what's coming — by visiting the Stories in Motion page and joining the Seed Planters community on any of the character pages.
How to Watch — And How to Use It
When you experience Stories in Motion with your child, we suggest treating it as a conversation starter rather than a passive event. Watch together. Notice what lands. Ask what your child noticed. Let the story do the first work — and then follow where it leads.
The characters are designed to be familiar enough to trust and complex enough to return to. A child who watches a Yeshua Stories in Motion episode at age four and again at age seven will find something different both times — because they've grown, and the story has room to meet them where they are.
That is the design intent. Not a single viewing, but a relationship with a character who grows with you — because the best stories always do.
